Bajaj to launch new KRR ZX 150 mini Ninja racer in India

After the launch of Honda CBR250R, Bajaj Ninja 250R has faced a stern test. They have failed to compete with Honda CBR250R majorly due to the heavy difference in their price tags. But Bajaj wants to get back in the game by launching a cheaper Ninja motorcycle which will be powered by a 150cc engine named KRR ZX 150 mini.

Although a 150 cc bike cannot be seriously compared with a 250 cc mammoth, the tech specs of the new KRR ZX 150 mini-Ninja suggest otherwise. A two stroke, single cylinder liquid cooled 148 cc engine delivers a stormy 30.0 PS power at 10,500 rpm. The torque is rates at a high 21.6 Nm at 9000 rpm. Equipped with a SUPER KIPS valve system and a MIKUNI VM28 unit the carburetted bike delivers good performance across the entire power range.

An aluminium swing arm stabilizer enhances left to right cornering. The bike employs telescopic front shocks and rear monoshock suspensions and uses dual-calliper ventilated brakes for both the wheels. The bike is being tested for Indian and other Asian markets.
