Honda CBR250R review

After Honda launched their iconic 250cc motorcycle, CBR250R in the Indian auto industry earlier this year in March, they have managed to capture a decent market share. Available in two variants, one without ABS, priced at Rs 1.51 lacs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and the other with ABS priced at Rs 1.77 lacs (ex-showroom, New Delhi), CBR250R is available in 3 vibrant colors.

Powered by a 250cc water cooled engine, Honda CBR250R is one of the powerful motorcycles available in India today. Generating a cool 26 bhp, Honda CBR250R smoothly accelerates from 0-100 in just 8 seconds and has a top speed of 160 kmph. Honda has installed a 6 speed gearbox in the CBR250R.

On the handling and on road performance of Honda CBR250R, we felt that it will be difficult to use the motorcycle for everyday use, but will be a charm for touring and weekend getaways. Seating is comfortable and so are the shock absorbers. Thanks to the wider tires, most of the potholes on Indian roads seem less irritating on the CBR250R.

Just like other CBR variants, this one too looks very stylish. On the front of the bike, there is a full fairing, a 55/60W powerful headlight, new LCD display which will display speedometer, engine temperature, rpm meter, odometer, clock, and fuel gauge. On the economy front, Honda CBR250R returns a mileage of 27 kmpl, which is very decent for such a powerful bike.
